Alanna Temme

Executive Vice President

Ms. Temme has nearly 2 decades of senior leadership experience in life sciences, specialty provider, and Capitol Hill positions. She has significant experience in delivering results in both public affairs and corporate strategy, as well as navigating trade associations. She specializes in legislative strategy and public policy advocacy at the federal and state levels; organizing and managing coalitions; and coordinating communications with policymakers and grassroots contacts. She has worked with Congress and the Administration on comprehensive strategies to accomplish various legislative priorities.

Prior to the McManus Group, Ms. Temme spent several years in the biotechnology industry, where she led public affairs strategy including policy development, stakeholder alignment, coalition building and government affairs strategy. She also represented her companies’ interests with major trade associations such as PhRMA and BIO before federal and state representatives, as well as with key stakeholders such as physician and patient advocacy organizations.

Before joining the public sector she served as Legislative Director to Representative Jon C. Porter (R-NV) who served on the Ways and Means Committee where she was the senior policy advisor to the Congressman on health and tax policy and related matters. Alanna also spent time working for Chairman John A. Boehner (R-OH) on the Committee on Education and the Workforce.

Complementing Ms. Temme’s extensive public affairs work is her work as a successful political strategist. She has been active in a number of federal campaigns and various get-out-the-vote efforts during national elections.

Alanna enjoys running and Bikram yoga. She is an avid fan of the Washington Capitals, her three children, husband and 11 year old black lab. She received a BA from Elon University.
